Along with a background in rehab admissions and pharmacy, she also managed the Outreach to Seniors program at her church for 15 years. Wendy combines a true passion for serving the elderly with her broad-based industry experience and personal relationships.
Skip Strauchman – Treasurer
Over 48 years of experience in the Healthcare industry. Most recently served as Regional Senior Vice President for TeamHealth/IPC with responsibility in managing the clinical responsibilities in 55 hospitals and over 150 post-acute facilities covering multiple states.
Joy Gruits – Secretary
A Christian speaker and writer with a background in public education. For over 25 years she has ministered at Christian conferences, retreats, and seminars. In addition to her blog, Embrace His Call, she currently teaches at Community Christian Church and is involved in jail ministry in Macomb County.
Chairman and CEO of Healthy Living Medical Supply in Detroit, Michigan. Graduated from University of Michigan Law School and practiced as a transactional and health law attorney in southeast Michigan for 29 years. Served as Chairman and CEO of Residential Home Health and Residential Hospice from 2005 until their sale in 2016.
Currently the Director of Corporate Strategy with American House Senior Living Communities. Tina has dedicated her professional career to the development of programs and services that support older adults, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers. She spent more than 20 years at the Area Agency on Aging 1-B, the last 10 years as its CEO. Her professional goals are to support the health, wellness and independence of all people.
Marye E. Miller
Retired Executive Director Emeritus of the Older Persons’ Commission in Rochester Hills. She was on the founding Board for the National Senior Olympics and received a Lifetime Achievement award from the National Council of Nutrition. Introduced the first liquid meal program for seniors in Michigan and received the Point of Light award from former President George W. Bush.
Retired Health Care Executive with over 38 years of experience owning and managing Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Centers. Currently Tom is one of the guiding Executive Producers of the Michigan-based company, Visionalist Entertainment Productions, which has received multiple Emmy Awards for its documentary series which capture the human spirit through human interest storytelling of our aging baby boomers.
